A bit about Ellie

Hi, I'm Ellie!

I began teaching my first few students 10 years ago, and in 2021 I set up EMSP (now EM:CAS!) and became a full time private vocal coach and piano teacher. Since then I have had the great pleasure of coaching a huge number of students, and together we cover a vast range of styles, preferences and levels. I am genuinely passionate about creating lessons that suit each individual and allow them to thrive on their instrument.

Some lessons are all about the practical instrument training, which for many people is an opportunity to pursue and explore their hobby, and for others is so that they can successfully use their instrument professionally, or for degree and college auditions. Some lessons focus on other goals too. For example, I work with students to help them achieve great marks in their Music GCSE's, A Levels, and ABRSM exams.

So, whoever you are, and whatever you're looking to achieve, I would love to work with you!

--

My initial training was rooted in classical music, with my pre-degree qualifications being with ABRSM and my degree being BA Music. Since then I have trained under a selection of wonderful vocal, piano, acting & performance coaches, studying both classical and contemporary repertoire.

I have also performed a great range of styles including classical & operatic, musical theatre, and have been lead singer & pianist for several different rock, pop and function bands and groups over the past 10 years. I am currently the lead singer of The Metropols, a rock and pop band, whilst continuing to perform professionally as a soloist.

A bit about Holly

Hi, I'm Holly!

In my early training, I explored a range of classical and contemporary styles, specialising in the contemporary genres - pop, musical theatre and Disney being my personal favourites! Ultimately, my interest in Musical Theatre took focus, and I recently graduated my BA Musical Theatre (Music) Degree from The University of Chichester Conservatoire. During my time at university I developed a love for acting through song, practitioner studies, and for learning all I could about the ever changing performance industry. Now, I'm incredibly excited to be able to share all I can with other vocalists and performers.

I've also had the privilege of performing in a multitude of shows, spanning a wide range of styles and directors. Some favourites being Jekyll & Hyde, The Addams Family, Pippin, and of course taking part in six years of Annual EMSP/EM:CAS Showcases. Earlier in my training though, I would never have guessed that I would become a performer - the thought was pretty terrifying! I'm so excited to help others discover their potential and get comfortable in the performance environments that they want to explore.
