Hi, I'm Ellie!

I began teaching my first few students 10 years ago, and in 2020 I set up EMSP (now EM:CAS!) and became a full time private vocal coach and piano teacher. Since then I have had the great pleasure of coaching a huge number of students, and together we cover a vast range of styles, preferences and levels and I am genuinely passionate about putting together lesson plans that suit each individual and allow them to thrive on their instrument.

Some lessons are all about the practical instrument training, which for many people is an opportunity to pursue and explore their hobby, and for others is so that they can successfully use their instrument professionally, or for degree and college auditions. Some lessons focus on other goals too. For example, I work with students to help them achieve great marks in their Music GCSE's, A Levels, and ABRSM exams.

My initial training was rooted in classical music, with my pre-degree qualifications being with ABRSM and my degree being BA Music. Since then I have trained under a selection of wonderful vocal, piano, acting & performance coaches, studying both classical and contemporary repertoire.

I have also performed a great range of styles including classical & operatic, musical theatre, and have been lead singer & pianist for several different rock, pop and function bands and groups over the past 10 years. I am currently the lead singer of The Metropols, a rock and pop band, whilst continuing to perform professionally as a soloist.
